Markov Processes International, Inc. (MPI) is a provider of investment technology, research and analytics. Its products are used by organizations across the financial services industry, [1] esspecially institutional investors - asset managers, hedge funds, fund of funds - but also including private banks, investment advisors, private wealth professionals, and family offices. MPI's flagship software product is Stylus.

The company was founded in 1990 by Michael Markov and Mik Kvitchko. They had developed the first returns-based style analysis (RBSA) software application based on Nobel Laureate William F. Sharpe's methodology. [citation needed]
- MPI's quantitative platform is Stylus Pro. It provides asset allocation and portfolio optimization tools, as well as portfolio risk management, reporting and analytics.[2]
- MPI then developed Enterprise Prospector, a visual management and search application, used to create custom statistics, performance measures, peer groups and investment product rating systems.
- Four years later, MPI introduced its Dynamic Style Analysis (DSA) model, an advanced methodology for returns-based analysis of hedge funds. DSA featured a proprietary cross validation technique, "Predicted R-Squared".[3]
- In 2008, MPI released its Calibrated Frontiers methodology, "an innovative and robust approach" to portfolio resampling.
- In 2010, MPI released Stylus Web for enterprise reporting.[citation needed]
