The template automatically links whole postcode units (e.g. AL1 1AA) and postcode districts (e.g. AL1) to the relevant postcode area articles (e.g. AL postcode area). Postcode units normally only appear in infoboxes about buildings.

Usage

• {{postcode|AL|1|1|AA}} produces AL1 1AA
• {{postcode|EC|4N|7|BP}} produces EC4N 7BP
• {{postcode|WC|2A|3|AA}} produces WC2A 3AA
• {{postcode|AL|1}} produces AL1
