Al-Daway, an Iraqi city and district center administratively affiliated with the Dhi Qar Governorate, is located 70 kilometers North of the city of Nasiriyah in Iraq and 24 kilometers from the city of Al-Shatrah. It is divided into two parts, the Great and Small Sides, separated by the Al-Dawaya River. One of the most prominent places and symbols is the Bridge of the Martyr Rafiq Salman Jayed Al-Saeedi. In the center of the city, this city was famous for agriculture, especially grains, and was administratively transformed into a district in 2015.[5][6][7] Due to its expansion and increase in population. The city of Ad-Dawiya has many hills and archaeological cities, including the Black Hill, the ancient Sumerian city of Lagash, and others.
