Premise
The film is inspired by a BBC Newsnight exposé on the women who were incarcerated from 1907 at Long Grove Asylum in Surrey, a former hospital for the mentally ill, because they were typhoid carriers.

Production
Director Rob Sorrenti has been developing the project since 2008. The film is produced by Heather Greenwood, Marie-Elena Dyche and Charlotte Carey. James Friend is the cinematographer.Principal photography is scheduled to begin in early 2025 around the Kent area.[1][2]
