History
The stadium was inaugurated on 5 April 2014 by José Arista Arbildo and the Regional Government of Amazonas, with an initial capacity of 5,000. The inauguration match was a friendly between Santa Rosa de Gonchillo and Higos Urco de Chachapoyas. Bagua Grande FC, the largest club in the city of Bagua Grande, use the stadium as their home ground, along with other smaller clubs in the Region. Since its inauguration, it has been the largest stadium in the Amazonas Department.[1]
In 2024, Asociación Deportiva Agropecuaria, or ADA, used the stadium for their participation in the 2024 Liga 2, as their home stadium Estadio Víctor Montoya Segura did not meet Liga 2 requirements.
