The Palarong BARMMAA is an annual multi-sport event involving student-athletes from the 11 Schools Division of Bangsamoro. The event started in 2020 since the defunct Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao was replaced by Bangsamoro through Bangsamoro Organic Law and organized and governed by the Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education (Bangsamoro).

Student-athletes from elementary and secondary levels can compete, provided they qualified by winning at their Provincial meet. For young Bangsamoro student-athletes, Palarong BARMMAA is the culmination of school sports competition, which start with local school intramurals, followed by the congressional district and provincial meets.
History
The first edition of the games was held in Upi, Maguindanao del Norte[1] in 2020. Before it was called Palarong ARMMAA, it was dubbed as Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Athletic Association (ARMMAA). It was cancelled in 2021 to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Cotabato City[2] hosted the 2nd edition of the game.
Participating Schools Division
The Schools Division participating in the annual Palarong BARMMAA has become bigger as some Schools Division have Added in 2023. For instance, Cotabato City SDO and SGA SDO from Soccsksargen Region Athletics Association (SRAA)
A color coding system was introduced to uniquely identify each Schools Division based on their designated colors. Here are the participating Schools Division with their assigned colors.

Currently, there are 23 sports disciplines and a special event being contested at the Palarong BARMMAA, competition at the events and disciplines are at the elementary and secondary levels.
