History
Rongon Publications is a Bangladeshi book publishing house providing the literary and educational works to the Bangla-speaking community, both domestically and internationally. It is established in the aftermath of the pandemic, circa 2020-2022.[1]
Rongon Publications commenced its journey in 2023 by publishing Graphic novel "The Village[2]" in Bangladesh, presented in the native language. This title, originating from the Indian publishing house Yali Dream Creations, led to Rongon becoming the sole distributor of the title in Bangladesh. An Amazon Prime Video series The Village (2023 TV series) has been adapted from this Graphic novel[2]
The most notable work in recent times by "Rongon Publications" is "Nishachor[3]" which was released at the "Omor Ekushey Book Fair" in February 2024. "Nishachor[3]" is distinguished as Bangladesh's first spy thriller graphic novel and is the inaugural book in the history of Bangladeshi comic books and graphic novels to be produced with the highest quality standards and in an international format. This achievement has led to significant demand of the book among comic book readers in Bangladesh.[4][5]
Rongon Publications is currently working on numerous other titles and regularly working in association with other comic book publishing house in Bangladesh.[6]
