Draft:Side-by-side 3D

3D video technology

Half-Side-by-Side 3D (HSBS) and Full-Side-by-Side 3D (FSBS) is a term uncommonly used for denoting stereoscopic 3D with half-width or full-width in a video.

An image using the FSBS method, as in it uses full width side-by-side image for combining into one image.

The term is most commonly denoted in piracy when a peer[1] wants to "pirate" a 3D movie.

Common use

3D videos are commonly used in Blu-rays and experimental uses. However, the most popular method for conveying depth is by using the cyan-red tints around objects.

While anaglyph "3D" movies are generally higher quality, the movies created and distributed would generally cost higher than the two-dimension (2D) movies.
