Twelve-step program(history · last edit · rewrite) from <https://www.aa.org/sites/default/files/2021-11/en_bigbook_chapt5.pdf>. The first book in which this may have been published was in 1939, and there have been various versions of the Big Book that have been granted copyright registration. I can't 100% figure out if this text was published as-is in the original version (which I lack) or if the copyright has been renewed, but if these occurred then this would be a copyvio. Alcoholics Anonymous claims copyright over its current text and it doesn't appear to release it under a free license, so the only way this isn't a copyvio is if the the steps were originally published in a document for which copyright has expired. — Red-tailed hawk(nest) 02:50, 13 September 2022 (UTC)
The most logical thing to do is assume that it was originally published in 1939 with the first publication baed off of what I see here. 1939 registration but renewal looks like it was not done. Sennecaster (Chat) 15:39, 20 September 2022 (UTC)

Rewritten the article from scratch, the only other article that I've copied straight from the portal was 2021 in Vanuatu which I have now attributed, this seems to be an issue stemming from User:JoeNMLC's edits to the current events portal which may need looking into.
