Suspected sockpuppets


AnimationWhiz133 created Mark Flood (animator) page. It was deleted at AFD and recreated the next day by AnimationWhiz133. When I inquired why they recreated the page, their response was "It deserves to be kept, that's why.". X7656577775 first edit was to recreate the article with an edit summary of "This page deserves to be preserved" (page has been deleted and salted, so I no longer have the link). I'm not sure if the recent edit by LesMiserablesMovie (talk · contribs) also qualifies as full-blown sock puppetry or not. AnimationWhiz133 formerly known as LesMiserablesMovie, and was legitimately renamed, but then edited Mark Flood (the hockey player, not the deleted article), as LesMiserablesMovie ([1]). GuerillaFilmmaker's only activity has been creating and linking to Mark Flood (filmmaker). AnimationWhiz133 originally created Mark Flood (animator), and then recreated it when it was deleted per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mark Flood (animator). Once again, editor is trying to recreate Mark Flood (animator), this time through AFC: Draft:Mark Flood (filmmaker). Draft was created with summary "Notable person deserving of a developing page", which matches a previous creation summary for Mark Flood (animator) "This page deserves to be preserved" which is now deleted.

Contribution101's first edit was to Mark Flood (the hockey player) which seems related to numerous previous efforts to recreate Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mark Flood (animator), and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mark Flood (filmmaker). Contributor101's other edit was to a very specific section of Carla Conner (a soap opera character), which is also a shared interest AnimationWhiz133.[2]

OfficialScottishNews was softblocked for username issues, and is presumably the same as ScotNew based on name and overlapping edit histories.

ScotNew has continued attempts to disambiguate Mark Flood by moving it to Mark Flood (ice hockey) with the edit summary "there are other Mark Floods and it should be further distinguished which this article is about."[3] ScotNew also shares AnimationsWhiz133's interest in actors involved in PACE Theatre Company (an article created by AnimationWhiz133), voice actors, and animated movies, having added references to Flood's as yet unreleased movie Operation Alley Cat to David Wallace (Scottish actor), Alan Orr and Martin Quinn (actor).

The frustrating part is that AnimationWhiz133 is not blocked, and many of ScotNew's contributions are positive, but these back-door autobiography attempts are disruptive and misleading. Grayfell (talk) 00:23, 10 February 2015 (UTC)

As with AnimationWhiz133 and other socks, Poeheese has strong focus on soap opera character Carla Connor (having made dozens of edits to actress Alison King's article and creating the highly detailed, lengthy article for Underworld Factory, Connor's fictional company), and also the use of duct tape for gagging women, and also gaffer tape, specifically as used to gag Connor. The gagging content was especially questionable, as it's poorly sourced and barely relevant to the larger topic.

As before, Poeheese is adding promotional material about obscure Scottish animator Mark Flood, having created 10th Young Scot Awards, a minor award he won in 2015, and also adding puff about Flood to David Wallace (Scottish actor), an article previously edited by sock ScotNew. Poeheese is still editing to puff up the importance of Mark Flood, which is plenty of evidence on its own. This editor is also edit warring to retain trivia they added to Alison King's article:[4][5][6] They are also continuing to add fetishistic minutia to celebrity article without any source.[7]

Suspected sockpuppets


Editing patterns are far too close to be coincidental. Specifically articles releated to Coronation Street. Including the main Coronation Street article, Siege Week, Alison King, and Carla Connor. What finally pushed me to file this report was their utter lack of understanding for our fair use policy as shown in this FFD discussion. The same exact lack of understanding that got the master blocked in the first place. See the ANI thread for the master. I opened an investigation of Poeheese at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/AnimationWhiz133, which goes back to 2013. Even at a quick glance, I am seeing a lot of extremely specific overlap for FryUp32 also. Let me know and I will dig through and find specific diffs, if necessary. Poeheese's most recent batch of edits include one to Sharon Rooney, which has also been edited by FryUp32. This new edit is about the Young Scot Awards, which is a main area of interest for Poeheese and AnimationWhiz133, so this is another indicator that these are the same. Adding to Majora's evidence, these two diffs I found here and here clearly show similarities between these two users. On the same page and a year apart, these two users added the same word to the same paragraph in the article, using the same formatting (but not 100% exact - so this isn't a "copy and paste"), and with the same use - making a description about the same actor.     • The account has been blocked for being a sock of AnimationWhiz133. However, FryUp32 wasn't active the last time CU was performed on that sockmaster, so I don't think this page is entirely useless.
