  • Well the two suspects are clearly the same person, and are softblockable on username. The older of the two was created 7 hours after Sauraved picked up their current one-month block. So this seems likely.   Additional information needed @DoebLoggs: Can you please link diffs of the behavior you're describing, the moving the lead before the infobox?   • Thanks, DoebLoggs. As I expected, that is enough of a smoking gun for me. Given the large overlap, similar editing style, timing of the accounts' creations, and then very distinctive behavior of putting lede paragraphs before infoboxen, I don't think CU is necessary to confirm this obvious socking.   Awaiting administrative action: Please block both suspects indefinitely as suspected sox of Sauraved, and please extend Sauraved's tempblock to indefinite. While this is their first offense socking, the evasion of an existing (second) tempblock means that, at the very least, if they would like to edit again they should first explain themself to an administrator. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 12:17, 7 February 2022 (UTC)

Sixth sock in the past 48 hours focused on Sirajganj and Sirajganj District, places in Bangladesh of no great significance to most Bangladeshis. The articles have been on Wikipedia for 17 years. 65-75% of the edits to them have been in the past six weeks by Sauraved and their socks.

As has been noted before, they have a singular habit of moving the lead to before the infobox.[3] They also add language claiming the places are important, unsupported by sources.[4][5] Another characteristic behaviour is adding religion and language bar charts and then fiddling endlessly with the 4th significant digit of religious percentages.[6][7][8] -- Worldbruce (talk) 07:02, 9 February 2022 (UTC)

Similar user name to recent sock Logalo. First edit was less than 3 hours after Logalo was blocked. Returned to editing Sirajganj the day after protection expired. Characteristically placed infobox after lead in this edit.

The IP edits are interspersed among Logalo's. 103.230.107.59 in this edit made a similar change of phrasing as in this edit by sockpuppet John3478. 103.230.107.59's edit is similar to puppetmaster's improperly sourced edits in that it (A) cites a self-published source of questionable reliability and then (B) invents numbers that aren't even in the source.

Rjyok already blocked by Deepfriedokra for persistent removal of content, but for only 72 hours. The suspects have the usual focus on Bangladeshi human geography articles, particularly related to Sirajganj (Kazipur Upazila, Kamarkhanda Upazila, Belkuchi Upazila, and Raiganj Upazila are all sub-districts of Sirajganj District.) Adding poorly sourced and inaccurate statistics about religion is also characteristic[21] (actual 2011 census figures for Raiganj Upazila are 89% Muslim, 11% Hindu, with no mention of Sarnas, pretty much in line with the country as a whole). Both of these accounts are removing the same portion of content from the same article (Kazipur Upazila, see article's revision history), that is the same portion also removed by other socks from the same sockfarm in the past (Kinhox (talk · contribs), Xalah (talk · contribs), etc.)
