DescriptionCountries by Gender Development Index (2019).png
English: A choropleth map showing countries/territories by their Gender Development Index (GDI) score based on data collected in 2018, published by UNDP in 2019. Countries are grouped into five groups, from 1 (closest to gender parity: “high equality in HDI achievements between women and men”) to 5 (furthest from gender parity). Grouping takes equally into consideration gender gaps favouring males and those favouring females (Technical Notes 2019).
group 1: GDI above 0,9751 = gap below 02,5 % = high equality: 53 countries
group 2: GDI above 0,9501 = gap below 05,0 % = medium-high equality: 39 countries
group 3: GDI above 0,9251 = gap below 07,5 % = medium equality: 22 countries
group 4: GDI above 0,9001 = gap below 10,0 % = medium-low equality: 8 countries
group 5: GDI below 0,9001 = gap above 10,0 % = low equality: 44 countries
