English: Reconstruction of a terracotta plate uncovered at Cerbureni (Valea Iașului), dated to ca. 1585. According to historian Maria-Venera Rădulescu, this may have been the only portrait of Marcu Cercel, heir apparent of Wallachia and later Prince of Moldavia, done when his father Petru was ruling from Târgoviște. See: Maria-Venera Rădulescu, "Marcu, fiul principelui Petru Cercel (1583–1585). Cahle medievale descoperite la Cerbureni, jud. Argeș, și la Târgoviște, jud. Dâmbovița (Curtea Domnească și zona Bisericii Stelea)", in Muzeul Național, Vol. XXV, 2013, pp. 47–66.
