English: Equidistant conic projection location map of the continental USA.

Optimizations:

  • States and provinces made of multiple paths have been combined into complex paths for easier coloring
  • Removed all data outside of the view-window. If you need a slightly wider view, see Uwe Dedering's original upload.
  • Most rivers and lakes removed for file size and for clarity when using labels with no background
  • Revealed borders between Mexican states and Canadian provinces
  • 90% of remaining nodes removed using simplify function in Adobe Illustrator v13.0.1
