Template:Cite NYC bus map

This template produces citations for the maps of NYC borough bus routes. The parameters are the one- or two-letter bus prefixes for each borough, or the borough name itself:

• <syntaxhighlight lang="text" class="" style="" inline="1">Bx</syntaxhighlight> (The Bronx)
• <syntaxhighlight lang="text" class="" style="" inline="1">M</syntaxhighlight> (Manhattan)
• <syntaxhighlight lang="text" class="" style="" inline="1">Q</syntaxhighlight> (Queens)
• <syntaxhighlight lang="text" class="" style="" inline="1">S</syntaxhighlight> (Staten Island)
• <syntaxhighlight lang="text" class="" style="" inline="1">Sx</syntaxhighlight> (Staten Island Express Bus)

There are also options for the following regional bus systems:

• <syntaxhighlight lang="text" class="" style="" inline="1">N</syntaxhighlight> (NICE Bus, Nassau County)
• <syntaxhighlight lang="text" class="" style="" inline="1">W</syntaxhighlight> (Bee-Line Bus, Westchester County)

To create a citation for the service guides instead, add the number "2" to the parameter entries listed above, or add a space then the word "Notes" after the borough name.

• <syntaxhighlight lang="text" class="" style="" inline="1">Q2</syntaxhighlight> or <syntaxhighlight lang="text" class="" style="" inline="1">Queens Notes</syntaxhighlight> (Queens)
• <syntaxhighlight lang="text" class="" style="" inline="1">S2</syntaxhighlight> or <syntaxhighlight lang="text" class="" style="" inline="1">Staten Island Notes</syntaxhighlight> (Staten Island)
• <syntaxhighlight lang="text" class="" style="" inline="1">Sx2</syntaxhighlight> or <syntaxhighlight lang="text" class="" style="" inline="1">Staten Island Express Bus Notes</syntaxhighlight> (Staten Island)

To create a citation for the night services instead, add the number "3" to the parameter entries listed above, or add a space then the word "Night" after the borough name. This does not work for Staten Island routes.

Standard usage

For example, {{Cite NYC bus map|Brooklyn}} or {{Cite NYC bus map|B}} produces the following entry in the reference list:
