  • • To set it to display one particular list while keeping the remainder collapsed (i.e. hidden apart from their headings), use:
  •  {{Smoking |expanded=listname}} or, if enabled, {{Smoking |listname}}
  • …where listname is one of the following (do not include any quotemarks):
  • "tobacco", "cannabis", "opium", "crack", "other"
  • For example, {{Smoking |expanded=opium}} or, if enabled, {{Smoking |opium}}

Examples

Smoking is a practice where a substance, most commonly tobacco, is burned and the smoke tasted or inhaled. This is primarily done as a form of recreational drug use, as combustion releases the active ingredients in drugs such as nicotine and makes them available for absorption through the lungs. </syntaxhighlight>

Expanding a section

To expand a section by default, add "expanded = section" to the template, where section is one of the five listed above. The section within the template will therefore default as "show", rather than "hide". Remember to add the pipe symbol " | " (generally located above the enter or return key) to separate the template name and the parameters.
