Purpose
This template enables reference links to the Wikisource Popular Science Monthly project for Wikipedia articles.
Usage
<syntaxhighlight lang="wikitext" inline> "title of article page" in Popular Science Monthly Volume volume number, month & year of publication</syntaxhighlight>
Example

displays as:
"Sketch of Prof. Gray" in Popular Science Monthly Volume 1, August 1872
Parameters
The order of the parameters by default is
- title of article page =
{{{title}}}
- volume number =
{{{vol}}}
- month/year of publication =
{{{date}}}
Though if you use all parameter names, order can be varied. All these parameters are mandatory for a functional template link to be generated.
- Two optional parameters can be used to override visible text and position on page of work
{{{anchor}}}
to change the link position on referred page to a predefined anchor{{{author}}}
to include the name of the author of the article{{{override_title}}}
to change the descriptive text visible for the link.
Note: The parameter {{{volumename}}}
is for the use of automatic link creation, using the full "Volume #" from the article page name instead of simply "#" when manually entered.
