On April 10, 2024, a shooting occurred during the Eid al-Fitr celebration in West Philadelphia. It happened around 2:30 P.M. near the Clara Muhammad Square on 48th & Girard Avenue. 3 people were shot during the shooting. 5 suspects were arrested in the shooting, among all 3 were juveniles. A 15 year old was shot after he was engaged by one of the police officers during the shooting and was taken to a hospital for injuries but still was also arrested for the incident. ^[1]
