After winning a European championship with Spain women's national basketball team in 2011, she decided to focus on her education. While completing high school, she debuted in Liga Femenina Endesa at 16 years old with her home team CB Islas Canarias, where she was able to get some experience in EuroCup Women[7]. In 2015, she was recruited by the University of Northern British Columbia, where she finished her degree in Psychology and spent five years of success. During her 5 years at UNBC, Mongomo has proven to be a basketball player who, with hard work and dedication, can achieve whatever she sets her mind to. Her many accomplishments and records have semented her mark in UNBC and U Sports[8].
In 2020, she resumed her professional basketball career in Spain with Club Polideportivo Bembibre[9] in her first year and CB Islas Canarias in her second year.[1] After facing some challenges in the Spanish league, Conchi Mongomo decided to embark on new adventures in the international basketball leagues of Luxembourg, Switzerland and Belgium, where her numbers suggest that she has been able to adapt to the professional world and demonstrate her skills as a basketball player[10].
