Escape the Backrooms is a 2022 horror exploration video game developed and published by Fancy Games.
Gameplay
Escape the Backrooms is a horror game where the goal is to escape from the backrooms. The player goes through 20+ different levels, while attempting to avoid entities and find the exit to get to the next level.
It has many entities such as "The Thing on Level 7", "Facelings", "Animations", "Skinstealers", and more.
Background
The game is based in the fictional setting, known as The Backrooms, one of the most popular examples of the liminal space aesthetic.
Development
The game was created by developer Fancy Games, and is currently in early-access.[1]
