GlobalPlatform (formerly Visa OpenPlatform) is a nonprofit organization that develops and promotes standards for the payment and telecommunication industry.[1][2]
History
It was originally started by Visa Inc. in 1999 as the Visa OpenPlatform, and was later renamed to GlobalPlatform.
