French played in the 1990 Winmau World Masters Youth darts championship who defeating by France's Jean-Christophe Belchun, Gibraltar's Amos Bosano and before losing to Peter van Tilborg of Netherlands by 3–0 legs.
French won the 1996 Ipswich Open darts champions who defeating by Englishman Darren Peetoom by 4–2 legs.
