Nico Pampier is a Social Activist. Born in South Africa, Nico has completed an undergrad diploma at West Coast TVET College in the Western Cape and University of Cape Town.
Nico holds a position as the Global Youth Caucus Representative for United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth on SDG 16. Over the past 4 years the activist has spearheaded several initiatives such as Siyakwazi Youth Network, #BecauseWeCan Campaign.
Career
Nico Pampier, is currently serving as an Executive Director under the portfolio as an SDG Education Director for United Nations Association South Africa, the University of Cape Town UNASA UCT chapter.
Nico Pampier's activism started as a young person from the age of 12 when they volunteered at their hometown Soup Kitchen in Velddrif, they believed that this was an pivotal influence to their career as an activist for global change.
They hold an undergraduate diploma in Public Management and Communications for West Coast TVET College as specialised degree in Adult Education from UCT. In 2023 Nico was honoured as a guest speaker at the Global Peace 'Human Rights Summit', and in 2024 they were honoured at as a "Young Champion for Refugees" by UNHCR.
Nico's activism journey continues for the role of young people in decision making process, and for mobilising young people to achieve the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
