There are 12 types of pieces, and if you include advanced pieces, there are 22 types, and each side has 27 pieces.
On the 11×11 squares, the four rows close to oneself are lined up, and conversely, the four rows close to the opponent are lined up as the enemy array.
The rules of promotion are similar to those of regular shogi, all pieces in and out and in the enemy camp can be selected to be upgraded at the end of the round, and the shogi pieces that can only move forward must be forced to upgrade when they have no way to go.
