History
Pure Imagination Studios is an American production company and multi-disciplinary studio based in Los Angeles, California. Founded in 2012 by Joshua Wexler and Andrew Tucker, the company specializes in transmedia content creation, producing feature films, television, animation, theme-park rides, immersive experiences, virtual and augmented reality, games and sports. In 2023, Pure Imagination Studios announced a deal with Kansas State University’s Salina Campus to invest $41 million into a spatial computing studio and learning center. The facility, named the Kansas Advanced Immersive Research for Emerging Systems (K-Aires), is intended to support education and training across a series of industries.
