Eventually, Argus attracted the attention of Sargeras. The Destroyer offered the eredar a deal: in exchange for their loyalty, he would give them power undreamed of by all races. Kil'jaeden and Archimonde were quick to accept the offer, but Velen had a vision of the future: the eredar would be transformed into demons, under the rule of Sargeras. His advice to Kil'jaeden and Archimonde went unheeded, and he desperately sought a solution to this dilemma. Eventually, Velen was contacted by the naaru, and he fled with his followers, renaming his people the draenei, or Exiled Ones. Kil'jaeden, Archimonde, and the rest of their race became the feared, insidious sorcerers and tacticians of the Legion. It is unclear whether the world of Argus was destroyed by the eredar's sudden demonic powers (as implied by previous lore), or if it survived their transformation. If Argus still exists, it is certainly a stronghold of the Burning Legion, possibly their headquarters. Rise of the Horde leans towards this interpretation, though nothing is explicitly stated. The .585 Gehringer is an elephant gun of the 577 bolt action wildcat family. It was designed over several years by Karl Gehringer , a member of the Australian wrestling team during service in the Armed Forces. Like most elephant guns the purpose was stopping power on large dangerous game at close quarters. The test rifle was a CZ550 416 Rigby magnum fitted with a .577 Tobler Barrel of 1:22 twist rate. A 2.8" Nyati reamer and 3.25" Bertram brass was used to create a unique case length of 3.06" and the rims were rebated to the original 416 Rigby boltface. In 2001, Woodleigh 750gn softpoint and FMJ bullets were tested to 2350fps as a suitable hunting load. Geoff McDonald of Woodleigh also provided a special run of 900gn softpoints for the rifle. Case capacity 200gns to case mouth. Power Power is dependant on the practicalities of gun weight and recoil. Like most 3"+ 585 wildcats it will exceed 2600fps with a 750gn bullet for near 11,400ftlbs muzzle energy- If the firer can handle it. Colour-Guitar
Published in 1967, is an instructor for learing to play a guitar, with a very insighful use of colo(u)r as the hook to learning. The method arrives in a square box, about 150% the size of a record album, and 1/2" thick. It is comprised of 4-page folding lessons that instruct on chord construction, also including a pullout board, that when inserted inside the 4-page folder, shows through set holes with colors delineating the proper notes to be played, corresponding to color stickers; also given, which are applied to the guitar's fingerboard, note-by-note. A most elaborate, if not ingenious, method of teaching a beginner. Beyond this, it seems a sort of new music may have been the intention of this publication; as the chording and stringing, of the guitar in the opening diagram example, has it appearing with a non-standard open tuning of E-A-d-g-c*-f*, where in standard tuning, or Spanish tuning, which has been the norm for hundreds of years, outside of open tunings, i.e. G-Open or Dropped D-tunings,is E-A-d-g-b-e.
A method you may want to consider before starting the pursuit of guitar mastery.

Semaphores in Operating Systems

Sourceshttp://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=semaphore Dennisritchie123 (talk) 18:44, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
SemaphoresSemaphores are the classic method for restricting access to shared resources (e.g. storage) in a multi-processing environment. They were invented by Dijkstra. A semaphore is a protected variable(or ADT) which can only be accessed using the following operations: P(s) Semaphore s; { while (s==0); /* wait until s>0 */ s=s-1; } V(s) Semaphore s; { s=s+1; } Init(s, v) Semaphore s; Int v; { s=v; }
The value of a semaphore is the number of units of the resources which are free. If there is only one resource a “binary semaphore” with values 0 or 1 is used. The P operation busy-waits or sleeps until a resource is available whereupon it immediately claims one. V is the inverse, it simply makes a resource available again after the process has finished using it. Init is only used to initialize the semaphore before any requests are made. No other process can access the semaphore when P or V are executing. To avoid busy waiting, a semaphore may have an associated queue of processes(FIFO) . If a process does a P on a semaphore which is zero the process is added to the semaphore’s queue. When another process increments the semaphore by doing a V and there are tasks on the queue, one is taken off and resumed.
P(s) - wait(s), V(s) – signal(s) do { wait (s); critical section; signal (s); }while(1);
If process P1 wants to enter its critical section it has to wait. The value of s is decremented to 0. It signals after executing its critical section. The value of s is incremented to 1. Other process P2 wants to enter its critical section while P1 is in its critical section, it uses the shared semaphore value 0 and performs wait operation first. P2 continues to loop in the while until P1 executes signal(s); So, only one process will be executing at a time.
DisadvantageThe main disadvantage here is that processes require busy-waiting (looping in while). This continual looping is clearly a problem in a real multiprogramming system (where a single CPU is shared among multiple processes). Busy waiting wastes CPU cycles that some other may use them. This type of semaphore is called spinlock.
ImplementationTo overcome the need for busy waiting, we can modify the definition of wait and signal semaphore operations.When a process executes the wait operation and finds that the semaphore value is not >0 , it is entered into waiting queue associated with the semaphore and the state of the process is switched to the waiting state. Then the control is transferred to the CPU scheduler, which selects another process to execute. When another process executes a signal operation, any process from the waiting queue has to be restarted by a wakeup operation. The wakeup operation changes the process from the waiting state to the ready state. The process is then placed in the ready queue. The operation system provides block() and wakeup(P) system calls.
The block() operation suspends the process that invokes it.
The wakeup(P <Process>) operation resumes the execution of blocked process P.

Meachum Lamar Clarke

This request for creation has been reviewed. The reviewer comments appear below the article text.
If you want to make changes and try again, copy and paste your article into a new submission and make your changes there.
As one of the next greatest influences in the World of Gospel Music and Music Ministry, an anointed songwriter, arranger, teacher, director, vocal coach, organist, instructor, and music leader, Meachum L. Clarke has molded his, more than, 17 years of musical experience and ministry into what would be considered the start of what will be one of the most awesome pillars in music ministry for generations past and to come! Born in Lakeland, FL, Clarke began cultivating and developing his love for music at the early age of 5. Whether it was playing instruments (drums, keyboard, & organ), singing, or simply listening with great analysis, Meachum uncompromisingly pursued the unwrapping and found the strength and passion to explore his musical gift and eventually began developing musicians, singers, and choirs; educating them on the importance of music ministry. His ability to cross over denominational divides to bring singers and musicians together in unity, focused for ONE purpose, affords him the great opportunities and venues to further develop ministry through music to be uncluttered and pure unto God. As the youngest of 4 children (with 2 brothers and 1 sister) to Mary & Willie F. Clarke Sr., Meachum started his musical journey playing drums or simply beating on everything he thought could produce a sound. It was at the age of 7, when he was accepted into Rochelle School of the Arts, which is noted as one of the most prestigious Magnet Schools (K-8) amongst the Nation. This is when he shifted his passion for percussive instruments to the piano. During this time, Meachum, as a young person, began to couple the raw nature of his gift with the strict discipline and formal instruction. “I was very courageous, and I taught myself things about music because it all seemed to click with me - even at the age of 7,” Meachum says. “I stayed in music books and hymnals matching the different patterns, symbols, and musical notation with what I could already play by ear,” he continues. This was just the start of this awesome journey of music ministry for Meachum. Meachum continued to pursue the greatest capacity of his gift, receiving great recognition to include being awarded “Musician of the Year (1999)” by Joy In Praise Music & Arts Seminar, Inc (a well noted state-wide organization designated for equipping and empowering ministry workers). In high school, with the mastery of 10 instruments under his belt (piano, trumpet, French horn, trombone, euphonium, tenor sax, baritone sax, bass clarinet, percussion, and his principle instrument – TUBA), he served as Head Drum Major of the Lakeland Senior High School Dreadnaught Marching Band. The band received their 27th, 28th, 29th, and 30th Straight Superior Rating under his tenure. It was then that he held 1st Chair in the Wind Symphony 4 consecutive years also being placed 1st chair in the Florida All-County, All-State, and Tri-State Bands (Florida, Georgia, and Alabama). He graduated from Lakeland Senior High School with High Honors with distinction with a GPA of 4.013. Meachum went on to be accepted to Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University where he majored in Music Education. It was there also that Meachum, served as Music Director, President, and a Director of the world Renown FAMU Gospel Choir. “That was where the real ministry started for me!” he says. Under his tenure there the choir accomplished many achievements to include singing with gospel artists such as James Hall, Dorothy Norwood, and also to appear on WORD NETWORK live from the Bobby Jones Gospel Industry Retreat in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in addition to traveling across the nation in ministry. As his understanding of music increased, so did his passion for pleasing God. Meachum began devoting more and more time to studying the bible and the kingdom assignment attached to his gift of music. He became Assistant Minister of Music at St Mary Baptist Church under the mentorship of Evangelist Daniel L. James. He later received the call from God to become a full-time Minister of Music at the Greater Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, under the pastor and maestro Dr. Craig P. Riley, while still fervently fulfilling his scholastic endeavors. “This was my first transition. Honestly, I was absolutely fine where I was, but through this, God put me in a place of continual pursuit of Greater Glory unto him!” he continues “All my life I had been the quick learner who, in a sense, never had to struggle with challenges. I thought I had mastered it, but God taught me through this, first, how to know, listen for, and obey the voice of GOD, and secondly, how not to get too comfortable or complacent. I know now that I must incessantly go in pursuit of the gift and lifestyle that witnesses to the excellence of God’s Glory” God continued to develop and transition Meachum, both personally and within ministry. Meachum was now faced with making the decision to pursue an even greater level of God’s will. After great prayer and seeking clarity of God’s voice, Meachum finally yielded and made the move from Tallahassee, FL. to Jacksonville. However, this transition was quite uncomfortable for him, and it placed him in a very awkward position. Certain of God’s directive, but uncertain of what the outcome might be, Meachum decided to take a back road from his ministry journey. “This did not last long at all. It’s almost as if I was fighting with myself. I knew that God would not have called me to greatness and allow me to just sit back and accept mediocrity.” While in search of a ministry covering, Meachum visited St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church with no intent to neither join the church nor become active within the Music Ministry. “Ignorantly, I thought that I could just go and receive my word and leave afterwards. NOT SO!” he continues, “It was only because someone noticed me from Tallahassee, that I was convicted.” Meachum became active within the church as just a part-time musician. One day Pastor John E. Guns pulled Meachum aside, and not asking informed him that he was seriously considering him as the New Minister of Music of the church, as this position was vacant for an extensive period. Meachum, filled with doubt, then submitted to what God was getting ready to do in his life. Now, almost 2+ years later, at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church of Jacksonville, FL, under the Spiritual Leadership of Dr. John E. Guns, he presently serves faithfully as the Minister of Music and Fine Arts Ministry building an almost deceased music ministry of about 50 members to a well-rounded ministry consisting of a total of approximately 300+ singers, musicians, actors, dancers, choreographers, poets and play writes. There, he also oversees the administration and overall movement and management for the Worship Ministry components: Music, Fine Arts, Ushers, Security, Intercessory Prayer, Health Care, Armor Bearers, Media, Altar Workers, and etc. He, quite frequently, travels abroad with his Pastor, partnering in divine moments of ministry. Surpassing most modern expectations and creating a far greater epitome of what a Minister of Music should be; Clarke has introduced many aspects of fine arts to his church. Along with his notable list of music and ministry accomplishments and distinctions, Clarke has collaborated with and ministered before many remarkable musical artists, spanning a broad array of music, including James Hall, Karen Clark-Sheard, Steve Lawrence, Sha’ Simpson, Tramaine Hawkins, Dorothy Norwood, Sheri Jones-Moffit, Helena Barrington, Vickie Winans, S. Lamar Simmons, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Datisha “TiKi” Pickett, Jonathan Nelson, Marvin Sapp, Daryl Coley, and many other great music pioneers. In addition to his ability to seamlessly bridge the gaps between tradition and contemporary gospel, classical training, fundamentals of voice, and hymns, He is greatly known for his unparallel ministry structure development, choir training, Levitical training, worship expositories, and leadership capacity. He is branded by certain quotes like… “Minister the song as an extension of worship, as it should connect with your spirit, not as if it were an abbreviation to your lifestyle of worship”, “Prophecy [speak life] the Song”, “Make the message obvious: Remove the distractions”, “Become the musical prophet, and take the service to the place where you see God moving!”, and many more. Meachum accepts and understands his true purpose and that he is, first and foremost, called to live a life pleasing and fulfilling the plans God has set for him with extreme humility 1 Peter 5:6 that states, “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time”. It is with this maturity and focus that solidifies the platform and bolsters Clarke’s sure success. “All gifts are given, BY GOD, to influence the earth, to clearly and evidently demonstrate a move of God which is to bring Glory to his omnipotence. The gift, itself, is a Godly provision in helping you produce greater glory for his name sake. So it should be guarded, perfected, sharpened, and exclusively sanctioned for His purpose ONLY! However, It should be partnered and enhanced by your lifestyle as a believer and servant of God; not contradicted by the lack of spiritual discipline-WORSHIP” – Meachum L. Clarke
