Donate images, videos and audio

If you already have images of the Natural History Museum or Science Museum or related science and natural history content on a site like Flickr, Youtube or Vimeo please consider changing the license to a compatible Creative Commons License (must allow derivatives and commercial reuse) so they can be used on Wikimedia projects:

Upload images and videos to Wikimedia Commons

• A guide to converting audio files, on Wikimedia Commons, the file types accept are: Ogg (using FLAC, Speex, Opus or Vorbis codecs), WebM (using Vorbis), or MIDI (with extension .mid)

Come to the museums

• There are a number of events that are being planned as part of this project to be announced shortly.

• Take photos in the museums of the exhibits, multiple images of the same objects are very useful for highlighting different aspects and can be used to create 3D models using photogrammetry. A guide to taking better photographs through glass can be found here

Both the Natural History and Science Museums are open every day and are free entry except special exhibits
