- Photograph of a copyrighted mascot in costume in person. At the very least, not PD self. I do not think that it will qualify for fair use considering the infobox image illustrates this character as well. Sven Manguard Wha? 02:15, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
- Keep The image itself is Public Domain as it is an original work. This does not make the Trademark Public Domain Nor the character PD. The Resident Anthropologist (talk) 01:08, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
- Keep per above. Going down the slope of this argument would render any photograph that includes something copyrighted or trademarked as ineligible. Among them, several thousand photographs of athletes in team uniforms. Resolute 23:57, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
- Delete: As it currently it is an image of a copyrighted and trademarked character. The image is only of that, De minimis and Freedom of Panorama do not apply in this case. Taking a photograph of something that is a registered trademark and/or under copyright does not transfer those rights to the photographer. EDIT: I just wanted to also point out that ResidentAnthropologist is saying almost the same thing, but opposite. To explain - the image itself was released into PD by the photographer - yes, but that it *not* what the nom is for, or why the image should be deleted. As ResidentAnthropologist also pointed out "This does not make the Trademark Public Domain Nor the character PD" and *that* is the reason why the image is here. As the image shows *only* the "trademark" and the "character" the PD license is not valid. (And the same goes for Resolute, who also voiced a "keep" based on the same opinion) Soundvisions1 (talk) 17:28, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
- Delete: per my arguments and presented case laws in commons:Commons:Deletion requests/Derivative works of Sesame Street puppets. This is a derivative work of a copyrighted non-functional costume. commons:Commons:Derivative works explains the concern of having copyrighted subjects in a photograph. - Logo, may or may not qualify for PD-text, probably closer to not. Therefore it would be an unused non-free image. Sven Manguard Wha? 02:33, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

- Delete: Unless the actual source (Including author and date) of the painting is disclosed it is clearly a derivative work and not the property of the uploader, thusly it must be treated as non free content. As currently being used its current uses (One is a user page gallery and the other is depicting "was a north-south oriented street" that was found in "Roman cities, military camps, and coloniae.") fail the Wikipedia policy on Non-Free content. - No authorship information on depicted 2D work of art. Not a legal expert, but according to Commons[2], Turkish freedom of panorama would seem not to apply, as it refers to works of art on "the public roads, streets and avenues", which doesn't seem to be the case here. - The site's licensing is restrictive: "But if you intend to use an image you find here for commercial use, be aware that standards for such use are higher." This commercial restriction (if vague) means Wikipedia cannot accept the file. feydey (talk) 20:54, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
- Untill they are not defined they can use. It just a wrong Albanian to English translation. If you translate it directly from Albanian to english you get this in fact it is meant that you need to keep closer attention. If you have questions mail the site admin. --Vinie007 21:16, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
- Or if you don't wan't to believe in good faith just put an unfree use rationaly, until a free one pops up. --Vinie007 20:14, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
- Delete: The source website allows anyone to post images without anything other then their say so that the uploads are freely licenced, so I don't believe any images from this site can be conclusively said to be in the public domain. I see a similarity to Flickr washing. Sorry but we do not use unfree images of living people under fair-use until a free image comes along, under WP:NFCC we do without until a free image is found. This editor has uploaded many copyright violation images that have been deleted. He need to prove his images are freely licenced. ww2censor (talk) 21:17, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
- Delete: I concur with Ww2censor. It is highly likely that the galsh.com website is used for uploading images by people who don't really own them. The fact that this picture was uploaded in this low-resolution form is just a further indicator. This website should not be accepted as a valid source for anything. And, Vinie007, please, do read WP:NFC. We can not use such images under a non-free content rationale, ever. Fut.Perf. ☼ 23:12, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
- BTW, it's not just that the licensing statement is poorly translated. It's pure nonsense, and shows that the website owners don't even know (and probably don't care) what they are talking about. "All Images are property of their respective owners. Our website consists only free public domain photos." If something is somebody's property, it's not public domain. If even the website owners don't know and don't care about copyright, why would we assume its anonymous users do? Fut.Perf. ☼ 23:24, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
- OK delte them all, because I can't stop you doing what you like to do. If you can come up with a solution instead of Delete, Delete, Delete, Delete, Delete, Delete, Delete, Delete, Delete, i am compeltly open to a good and proper solution of the lack of Albanian picture problem--Vinie007 12:36, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

- The permission is from the owner of the website this is taken from but she is not the copyright holder, the photo is credited to J. Barry Mittan. January (talk) 21:26, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
- Speedy delete as a copyvio. This has several issues. The source indicates two things - first is that "Photographs copyright J. Barry Mittan" and second is it also says "Photo © Leah Adams." The next issue is, even if this was a photo by "Heather Winfield" as suggested on the image pages summary the "permission" given is not sufficient enough. "She is quoted giving her permission in the Michelle Kwan Forum" in no way shape or form established legit permission, and the "Can someone donate photos to use in the Wikipedia article?" comment suggests a "Wikipedia use only" release. Soundvisions1 (talk) 17:42, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
- Speedy delete: It is clearly a copyright violation of a work in use as a commercial product. The photograph is on the cover of Culture on Ice (2003) and clearly credited within to J. Barry Mittan. Jappalang (talk) 02:44, 11 February 2011 (UTC)

- Delete I looked into this previously but must have forgotten about it. My understanding is that whilst Crown Copyright content can be released under the Open Government Licence, it isn't automatic and so we need something that suggests the Wales Office are making content on their website available under the OGL. The Francis Maude is a slightly different situation, the Cabinet Office website does say "You may use and re-use the information featured on this website (not including logos) free of charge in any format or medium, under the terms of the Open Government Licence" so I think we are on more firm ground there.
