  • I know this is archived, but just for future reference: I doubt that Rschen7777 is Cmach7. This doesn't seem to be Cmach7's style, and seems more likely to be one of our resident trolls trying to impersonate Cmach7. --Floquenbeam (talk) 14:46, 5 March 2013 (UTC)

Suspected sockpuppets

Long-term sockpuppeteer that repeatedly talks about Wikia and The Sims, and typically vandalize articles about those topics. User has also been targeting K6ka (me) and C.Syde65, both of whom frequent The Sims Wiki on Wikia. This has been going on for months, see Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/IncidentArchive872#Persistent_harassment.2C_sockpuppetry.2C_and_vandalism_by_long-term_disruptive_editor and Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/IncidentArchive872#Persistent_harassment.2C_sockpuppetry.2C_and_vandalism_by_long-term_disruptive_editor_-_Again. There are more socks than the amount shown on this list; those usernames have been hidden on my user talk page (see page history).

This request is being filed to (hopefully) set up a range block that will prevent future socks from being created and to put an end to this debacle. --I am k6ka Talk to me! See what I have done 18:02, 24 February 2015 (UTC)

@Salvidrim!: Well, I don't know. As I understand, CU did not check Cmach7 and he is not confirmed as a master. I don't see any evidence of him being a master either. Vanjagenije (talk) 19:44, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
Vanjagenije CU isn't everything, the old accounts are stale so Checkusers can't help much and would "confirm" anything, but that doesn't mean the investigation if done and over. Per the two AN/I threads (1, 2), the SKwiki SPI, per the fact some of the recent socks are named "CoryMach" 1-2-3, and per the fact that Cmach7 has a history of using usernames mocking/taunting established users (see 10 May 2013 case in his archive); I'd be absolutely flabbergasted if this wasn't more of Cmach7's shenanigans. ☺ · Salvidrim! · ✉ 20:30, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
Salvidrim! It seams that you are right. I can't be 100% sure, but there is a strong possibility that those are all socks of the same person. Since they are all blocked anyway, I propose we merge this case with Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Cmach7. Vanjagenije (talk) 00:16, 26 February 2015 (UTC)
