Suspected sockpuppets


User:Damonthesis is currently engaged in several disputes [1][2][3]. In the process of an AfD for an article the user created, User:JIM MAC EGG voted keep, using the same rationale and grammar as Damonthesis (so, suspected WP:VOTESTACKING). A look at the contributions of Damonthesis and the log/single contrib of JME shows a lull in Damonthesis's editing while JME was created/editing; right after the edit, Damonthesis started editing again. JME has made no edits since, and I suspect if it is really a sock will never be used again, but I'm afraid that if it is true and Damonthesis is not warned in some way about this again, they may try again in the future. I'm not requesting CU for now since 1) the AfD is still ongoing, 2) JME is not likely to be used again, and 3) I don't feel like it's needed to determine a link. Ansh666 06:25, 1 May 2013 (UTC)

I'm not involved in the content dispute at all beyond the AfD; I take those completely objectively in any case (note the other uninvolved editors' statements as well). If anything, it's your behavior that made me file this SPI, not any petty content dispute; if it hadn't been so bad, maybe I would have let it go. Ansh666 18:42, 1 May 2013 (UTC)

  • Red X Unrelated, but Damonthesis has created several sleeper accounts: TemperLocke (talk · contribs), Valentine Baggins (talk · contribs), and Pete Dalton (talk · contribs). I mentioned these users because there are also edits from an IP (a fair amount).
