I'm not exactly sure whether this is sockpuppetry, or meatpuppetry, or none of the above, hence my request for CU. There is some stinkiness happening here, though. There has been a recent uptick in people trying to inflate the article on Rashami Desai. However, looking back through the last year or so of edits, I don't see anyone who would strike me as an obvious sockmaster.
- In these edits Orios2.0 makes quite a few mistakes and it's questionable that they could all be mistakes, meaning it feels like deliberate promotion.
- The Gold Award win "Best Actress in Negative Role" entry is supported by a photo gallery that only shows a picture of Desai holding an award, and doesn't mention that Desai won an award. Please keep this in mind for a moment.
- Big Star is totally unsourced. So I guess this user just memorised every award and nomination Desai received?
- The Gold Award nomination, is listed here as "Best Actress in Lead Role", but I checked the YouTube reference they provided and what the host says before he reads names, is that she was nominated for Best Actor Popular Female. That doesn't seem like it's the same thing as a jury award, which is what "Best Actress in Lead Role" suggests to me. And Best Actor Popular Female doesn't say anything about "lead".
- In these edits, Editor120396:
- Adds back the Gold Award, using the same poor image gallery that Orios2.0 did.
- Adds the Indian Telly Award as Best Actress in a Negative Role using this archive, which says she won Most Popular Actor in a Negative Role (Female). This again seems to equate a popular award with "Best".
- Adeba Tweety just seems to be adding absurd awards like "Golden Glory Awards and the Dadasaheb Phalke Awards. The Indian government issues one lifetime achievement award each year called the Dadasaheb Phalke Awards. The award Desai won, was a knock-off award from yet another Indian award mill. (See WP:DADASAHEB.) This award mill is the Dadahsaheb Phalke Academy Awards. It's a double-copy-cat! But note that like the others above, this editor misrepresented the actual name of the award, likely because it sounds more prestigious to omit Academy.
So while it is possible these are three different people, the net result is that they have all misrepresented awards, and it seems like they're all trying to inflate Desai. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 22:29, 11 December 2020 (UTC)

Possible to
Likely, or
Possilikely (a mix between possible and likely). Same country, all in big ranges. All different user agents. That's all I can really give you. This will need behavioral investigation. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 22:59, 11 December 2020 (UTC)
Clerk note: Behavioral evidence doesn't suggest they're the same person. I also note that some editors in this group edited contrary to one another - for example, Editor120396 removed a sentence about the page subject being the highest paid contestant on (some reality show), while Orios added the same thing back in later. I see nothing to indicate that this is anything more than fans of the actress (and EditorWhatever might not even be that - they're actively removing content from the page as "poorly-sourced").
