Suspected sockpuppets

Very similar user name structure but RMH removes the G4 on article created dby NDC here despite the article having been deleted in December.

There's also the identical user pages of NDC and Mountain High and nearly identical ES/areas of work. RMH registered on the 23rd and NDC on the 20th and appear to have more knowledge than we'd ever expect new users to have. requesting CU for sleepers. Suspected sockpuppets

I blocked Plot Spoiler as an undisclosed paid editor a couple of weeks ago. Bridge to Somewhere returned from a long hiatus to contest a PROD on one of the affected articles. They'd crossed over before as well: [1] which given BtS' 27 edits seems unlikely to be due to chance. It's pretty DUCKish but it would be good to confirm and look for any other accounts.   • I am VwM.Mwv's mentor. There is hardly any overlap here - editor interaction - and what little there is is explained by Israel related editing Absent solid evidence (and MehrdadFR's assertions - an account with 694 edits - do not sound convincing) - this should be closed. MehrdadFR was reported to AEW prior to this report, and they filed the same line at - Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/AndresHerutJaim - which considering they are asserting the same MO - does not sound convincing. Suspected sockpuppets

I investigated the Loksmythe account after receiving a private tip. Loksmythe exhibits the same POV and editing style as Plot Spoiler, focusing on Jewish and Israeli biographies and culture and tagging articles. This can be seen in the significant interaction between the two accounts, with some particular examples including these AIPAC edits, these Evin Prison edits, these Sohrab Ahmari edits, these Ghoncheh Ghavami edits, etc. There is too much overlap on obscure articles and too many behavioral similarities for this to be someone who just shares the same POV who works in the same area. There's a lot of edits Loksmyth made to articles that Plot Spoiler had created or worked on where Loksmyth is shepherding content; the biggest example of this can be found at the history of Thomas Kaplan, an article which has had several paid editors over the years. Loksmyth removed critical material that had been inserted in the years that Plot Spoiler had been blocked. Plot Spoiler was blocked as a likely UPE, which would explain why Losmythe was interested in becoming a New Page Patroller; there's at least one review I find suspicious.

They also have similar time cards. Since some articles in Plot Spoiler's preferred topic area are under extended confirmed protection, Loksmyth gamed the extended confirmed user right by mass tagging geostubs as unsourced. Once they got the user right, Loksmyth started editing Ben Shapiro.

Suspected sockpuppets

Only contributory editing behaviour has been creating two new articles in AIPAC-related sectors which the sockmaster has been active in. Additionally, the user has edited at Thomas Kaplan which has been heavily UPEd in the past. Both new articles were approved at AfC by the same now-blocked sock, User:Loksmythe. The two articles created were Community Security Service and StopAntisemitism BrigadierG (talk) 00:53, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
