Deutsch: Im 18. Jahrhundert hat sich der Tiroler Peter Anich als Bauernsohn an der Universität Innsbruck zum gefeierten Kartografen weitergebildet. Er hat Bemerkenswertes geleistet, neben dem "Atlas Tyrolensis", einem der wichtigsten kartografischen Werke seiner Zeit, hat er auch berühmte Globen erschaffen. Der große Himmelsglobus, der große Erdglobus und einige ihrer kleineren Pendants können bis heute bestaunt werden.
English: In the 18th century, Peter Anich, a Tyrolean farmer's son, studied at the University of Innsbruck to become a celebrated cartographer. He achieved remarkable things, besides the "Atlas Tyrolensis", one of the most important cartographic works of his time, he also created famous globes. The great celestial globe, the great terrestrial globe and some of their smaller counterparts can still be admired today. |
