Usage

The following discussion is closed and will soon be archived: Deleted (or some other summary), without a signature.
</syntaxhighlight> The template will automatically detect if the discussion is archived to a standard archive, and adjust the text accordingly.
Usage note
Avoid using a summary with bold markup inside other markup. For example, do not do this:
<syntaxhighlight lang="wikitext">
The following discussion is closed and will soon be archived: Here is my subscripted Bold summary
</syntaxhighlight>
However, these are OK: <syntaxhighlight lang="wikitext">
The following discussion is closed and will soon be archived: Here is my subscripted Italic summary
The following discussion is closed and will soon be archived: Here is my Bold summary
The following discussion is closed and will soon be archived: Here is my Bold subscripted summary
