Usage
- This redirect category (rcat) template populates Category:Redirects from titles with diacritics and, if the redirect is in main-article namespace (mainspace), Category:Unprintworthy redirects is also populated by default. In 2003, efforts were begun to support the Wikimedia Foundation's goal of increasing access and availability of Wikipedia articles in printed versions. Mainspace redirects from titles with diacritics are frequently unsuitable for a printed version. In other words they are usually unprintworthy. See below for what to do for those few redirects with diacritical marks that are considered printworthy.

- Template {{Rcat shell}} is an alias for the Redirect category shell template, which may be used to add as many appropriate rcats as needed, usually from one to seven, along with their parameters, to a redirect. For more information see the documentation on its template page. This rcat may also tag a redirect individually:

- From the same page name with diacritics: This is a redirect from a page name that has diacritical marks (accents, umlauts, etc.) to essentially the same page name without those marks or a "List of..." page anchored to a promising list item name without diacritics.
- Apply this redirect (without piping) when the subject page concerns language translation or foreign language equivalents. Other pages that use this redirect should be updated with a direct link to the redirect target (again, without piping).
- Sort these redirects with {{DEFAULTSORT:(title without diacritics)}} and be sure to use a colon ( : ) rather than a pipe ( | ) to access the magic word directly.
- This rcat can also be used on redirects to sections and anchors to indicate the diacritics version of a term/name written both ways.

Sorting in the category
Sort these redirects with {{DEFAULTSORT:(title without diacritics)}}. That will make these redirects much easier to find in the Redirects from titles with diacritics category. Be sure to use a colon ( : ) rather than a pipe ( | } after "DEFAULTSORT" in order to directly access the magic word.
