Usage

This redirect category (rcat) template populates both Category:Redirects from second-level domains and Category:Unprintworthy redirects by default. In 2003, efforts were begun to support the Wikimedia Foundation's goal of increasing access and availability of Wikipedia articles in printed versions. Mainspace redirects from website domain names are not suitable for a printed version. In other words they are unprintworthy.

Please do not alter the printworthy settings of this rcat without first notifying the Version 1.0 Editorial Team, who are responsible for any and all materials, including redirects, that go into a printed version of Wikipedia.

Add this rcat to a redirect page (not a talk-page redirect) in the following manner:

From a second-level domain: This is a redirect from a second-level domain to an article about its associated top-level domain, often to a section in that article, or to an article about its website.
- Use this redirect link (without piping) when the link in the context specifically concerns the second-level domain. Other pages using this link should be updated to replace the text with the redirect target (again, without piping).

From an unprintworthy page title: This is a redirect from a title that would not be helpful in a printed or CD/DVD version of Wikipedia. See Wikipedia:Printability and Version 1.0 Editorial Team for more information.

Use this template for redirects that are second-level domain names and that are represented in the articles they target. An example of a second-level domain name that targets its associated top-level domain is .coop.mw.mw. An example of a second-level domain name of a website that targets its article is .blogspot.comBlogger (service).
